Comer Casting is always looking for new background talent, also known as extras, excited to jump into the world of acting. We hold registration in our office.
Registration is by Appointment ONLY.
We do not take walk-ins. Contact for registration will generally be made through email. Most of our registrations will take place in our offices in Manhattan.

Comer Casting holds registration as often we can, but not on a set schedule. We will contact you by email (or phone if you sent in a headshot) when we are having registration to check your availability and have you come into our office to take some photos for our database and fill out some paperwork. If you have emailed to register or sent in a headshot and have not heard back yet, please be patient as we have many people trying to come in to register.

After you have come in and registered with us it will take approximately 2-3 weeks to process your paperwork and enter you in our database.
Once you are in our database we will call you directly when we have work for which you are appropriate. Please do not call in for work, as we do not take call ins.
Sometimes we will send out an email to the email address you registered with us checking your availablity. If you receive one of these emails, please respond according to the instructions in each specific casting availability email.
We do not currently have a login system for actors to access our database. If we change that in the future we will notify you.
We generally do not register minors in the office. However, we do have an email list of minors that we will email to check availability when needed.
Minors ages 17 and under must have a valid Employment Permit for a Child Performer from the New York State Department of Labor to work in television or film in New York.
To obtain a 1 year permit you must mail a signed copy of the application to NY Dept of Labor. More information can be found here
You can apply online for a temporary 15 day permit. Please keep in mind that you can only apply online for the 15 day permit ONE
time. After that, you will need to mail in the application for the yearly permit. You must have a printer to print out the 15 day permit. More information can be found here
If you have a minor who is interested in background/extra work please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and in the subject line put MINOR REGISTRATION - (along with your minors name).
Please include all of the following information as well:
1. Minor's full name
2. Parent or Guardian's name to contact
3. Contact phone number
4. Minor's birthdate (optional, but will be required to work)
5. Copy of valid Employment Permit for Child Performer (not required now, but will be required prior to working)
6. Non-Professional snapshot photo (not headshot)
When we have work for minors we will send an email to check availability. We will require a very current snapshot photo to be sent with your reply if you are available as well as a copy of your Valid Employment Permit for Child Performers.
